Ms. Nored was born in Washington, DC, and earned her B.A. in Religion, graduating cum laude from Mount Holyoke College in 1994. She relocated to the Pacific Northwest in 1999 to attend the University of Oregon, School of Law, earning her J.D. in 2002. Licensed to practice in Oregon and Washington, she was admitted to the Washington State Bar in 2003.
Beverly Nored has been with Wechsler Becker since 2008, helping clients achieve suitable resolutions to their family law challenges. Ms. Nored is a member of the King County Bar Association, Washington State Bar Association, and Oregon Bar Association. Prior to joining Wechsler Becker, Ms. Nored practiced family law in Yakima, Washington. There, she was named “Pro Bono Attorney of the Year for 2004” by the Yakima Bar Association. A prosecutor in Yakima and Kittitas Counties from 2005-2007, Ms Nored gained substantial trial experience. Since 2006, Ms. Nored has volunteered as a Peer Counselor for WSBA’s Lawyer Assistance Program. Beverly has served as a board member and executive committee member to both the Dispute Resolution Center of Yakima and Kittitas Counties, and Merit Resource Services, non-profit organizations serving eastern Washington. More recently, Ms. Nored presented at WSBA’s Retirement Assets and Domestic Relations CLE in Seattle and writes regularly for KBCA’s Pro Bono Dicta Blog.
